Shot entirely as a series of static wides, The Salt Season was an experiment in restraint: no camera moves, no score until the final minute, and a single voice performance carrying the whole runtime.
Every exterior was generated at 2.39:1 and regraded in Resolve to a bleach-bypass look. The crates are the only element composited by hand.
The hardest part was continuity of the coat. Nine renders, one coat.

Third watch. The framing in the second act is still doing something I cannot explain.
Not sure the ending earns itself, but the first four minutes are exceptional.
