Notes from the maker
A quiet fantasy with no magic in it that you can point at. The rule was that nothing supernatural is ever shown directly, only counted.
Shot as six long takes and cut to four. The water had to be mirror-flat for the doubling to work, which meant generating at dawn light and rejecting anything with wind in it.
The lantern is never lit. Several people have told me this is a mistake.

Not sure the ending earns itself, but the first four minutes are exceptional.
