Everything you see was folded, torn and hung on thread before any model touched it. The generation stage was used for inbetweening and for the rain, nothing else.
Stepped to twelve frames per second on purpose. At twenty-four it stops looking handmade, and the whole point is that you can see the creases.
The red roof is the only saturated colour in the film. It is there so you have somewhere to look when the storm arrives.
